An outstanding vase. This vase was created in the Kingdom of Modena in Italy between 1818 & 1872. This impressive vase features old Italian hallmarked for 916/1000 silver & a makers mark we can not identify. It measures 8 1/4 inches tall & is approximately 5 1/4 inches at the widest point. It has a total weight of 568 grams. The vase is not weighted & is solid 916 silver. The handles feature highly detailed spread winged eagles. The lip of the vase is bent & there are a few very small dings, most of which can be repaired by a competent silversmith. Beyond rare & a lovely example of 19th century Italian silver. It will certainly make a wonderful addition to a collection of any caliber!
