Vintage Asta Strömberg For Strömbergshyttan "Diamant" Faceted Geometric Vase in Teal & Clear Glass B950 Swedish Art

This beautiful Swedish art glass vase was designed by Asta Strömberg for Studioglas Strömbergshyttan. The piece has a bold angular shape & is titled "Diamant" in homage to the faceted form of the precious gemstone once it has been cut. The vase has a heavy, thick-walled crystal construction. The exterior is clear crystal, while the interior features a vibrant, cased blue-green colored glass core, which creates striking optical effects & depth that vary based on the angle viewed. The "Diamant" line is characteristic of the Scandinavian mid-century modern design movement, with clean lines, geometric precision, & has a timeless aesthetic. The vase measures 6.5" tall, 2.375" across to the corners at the top & foot & is 3.75" across at it's widest. The bud vase mouth measures 0.75" across. The vase weighs 4lbs 0oz. The piece is marked on the foot with a hand-etched "Strömbergshyttan B490". The piece is in very good vintage condition with no chips or scratches to the display surface. There is light scratching on the foot due to display. This vase would be a great addition to a collection of mid-century modern or Scandinavian art glass or work equally well as a standalone decorative piece. A beautiful vintage art glass find!
