1950s Vintage Mid-Century Modern GIO PONTI Umbrella Whimsical Design Stand Brass Plated Ultra Modern Hammered marked Italian Made in Milano This ultra stylized brass-plated metal umbrella stand is by the Italian artist & designer GIO PONTI. It is a umbrella stand which has a great stylization. It is marked MADE in MILANO on the bottom stamped into the metal. There are surface wear & the brass edging has to be realigned (see photos) ... but it is really gorgeous still & very very are. Classically his work, it was made in the 1950s.
