Signed Acid Etched Libbey Amberina - Exqusite & Rare C.1917 11.75" Tall Bud Vase From Deep Red To The Amber Yellow Color Base

Consider purchasing this gorgeous & rare - tall signed Amberina Glass - tall & slender 11.75" Bud Vase manufactured by the Libbey Glass Company & made in the United States...circa 1917-1920... Amberina Glass was first patented in the United States by Edward D. Libbey & Edward Locke in 1883... Amberina Glass is "heat sensitive" glass which shaeds in colors of amber yellow on the bottom to red at the top...The bold coloring is exquisite on this vase, mostly when the sun hits the sharp looking red working its way down to the amber yellow base..The center bottom is signed Libbey Amberina...In 1917, W.L. Libbey celebrated its centenary by reviving Ambeina Glass for just a short time taking avantage of the large demand of colored glass after the Great War (1914-1918) These pieces carried the acid etched signature "Amberina" with the Libbey company name... Approximate measurements are: 11.75 inches tall with a 1 inch top rim diameter opening & a 3.25 inch base diameter... It is so rare to find a signed Libbey Glass Vase but to have it also signed Amberina is far & few in between Light signs of previous use should be expected consistent with age & previous ownership - very nice condition considering its has been previously owned, possibly used & age .. I do notice surface marks to the underside base of glass & some collection of dust on the bottom of the interior... Will be pleased!!
