Vintage Antique 5 Pc Privacy Door Hardware Set 2522 B

Here's a lovely 5 piece set of Victorian door hardware that can be used in any room but primarily made for bedroom or bath, with a handy thumb turn for privacy. You can lock the door from the inside if so desired. No key would be needed or used in this application, even tho the outside door plate has a key hole. (it would be nonfunctional). This handsome set includes: -2 Sargent brand cast brass door plates; about 7.5" x 2-1/8". One plate has the thumb turn locking spindle which is about .75" long -2 Brass plated steel knobs, about 2.25" diameter. One knob is attached to the spindle with a pin. -1 Privacy mortise; cast brass face is 5.5" x 7/8", case is 3-1/8" D x 3-5/8" H One clean spindle & 2 knob screws included, of course! A handsome set. And, all cleaned up....so you don't have to, unlike so many other sets listed elsewhere that are just plain junk, with dents, dings, paint splatters, corrosion, parts that are so rusted together you can't even get them apart when you try to install them! Who wants that? I don't sell junk. This set will be clean & ready to use when you receive it, even the spindles & set screws. These antiques date back to the 1920's or so & are as popular today as they were back in the day, if not more so. They last forever, are very decorative, are never out of style, & add elegance to even a plain, simple door. And, so much prettier & better - quality than those cheap-looking imported reproductions you see at some retail stores. As with all old, antique, vintage & pre-owned items, these may have some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish, etc, which is considered normal. Patina & finish may vary from piece to piece. This hardware is over 100 years old. I consider it to be in very good to excellent vintage condition, consistent with age & use, but YOU be the judge.
