Two Neolithic Stone Adzes/Two Stone Axeheads/Neolithic Farming Tools 3,000 to 5,000 years old 7.3 cm X 3.8 cm X 1.7 cm 57.9 Grams 5.9 cm X 3.8 cm X 1.4 cm 48.1 Grams Metamorphic Igneous Rock, probably Olivine Basalt These Neolithic Adzes are pre-Bronze Age farming implements from central Thailand. in light of their small size, they were probably used for woodworking. This style is non-shouldered & the shapes are ovoid or triangular. The stones are quite worn from use, & the greenish-gray color pattern indicates that they were made from Cenozoic olivine basalt.
