This hand made ceramic wall sconce is a lovely creative way to add candlelight & decorative wall art to your home or outside living space. It is hand carved from earthenware clay, including the Matisse inspired cut-outs, & painted with porcelain slip, copper & cobalt oxides before the bisque firing. It is fired twice in my electric kiln & is safe to hang on an inside or outside wall. There is a hole for hanging on a nail or screw. It's a good way to enjoy candlelight without the fear of a candle being knocked over - & adds great ambiance to any room or outdoor space & the the mirror reflects the candle-light & can be useful when not used with a candle :) The sculptural elements on this original wall sconce are inspired by Matisse's Cut Outs.
