French Gilded Bronze Frame, Mirror or Frame, Ornate Scrolling, Chateau Decor, 19th C Beautiful gilded bronze mirror or picture frame from the 19th C. Take a close look at the incredible detail of this piece. Can either be used as a mirror or picture frame as the original glass it at the back. It does not have a stand, nor did it..there is a ring at the back for hanging on a wall, & a string in place as well. Some wear on the gilt exposing the bronze underneath give it a beautiful antique hue that cannot be recreated. Weighy. Measures; 10" x 7" width, photo size area is approx.(slightly over) 5.5" by 3.5". Weighing 1.5 lbs. Condition is appropriate for it's age. Missing one lug for holding the mirror/glass at the back however it does work fine without this. Mirror is slightly etched in spots. Gilt loss & verdigris in areas. A lovely & unique piece.
