French Embossed Leather Jewelry Box, Travel Storage Case, Artisan Crafted Ladies Traveling Box As you take a closer look at the amazing craftsmanship you will appreciate the detail of a gorgeous foliage pattern. This is a very old piece & was once a ladies traveling case. Brass handle at the top. There is a key hole but sadly no skeleton key. The interior is lined in a lovely pale cream silk. Made in France. Measures; 13" length, 9" depth, 5" height, weighs over 3lbs. Showing lovely timeworn patina with a few marks & stains in the leather & a bit of grazing along one edge at the front. The interior ribbons have come away (they held the lid in place when opened) on one end of each, that would need securing/sewing or glueing. The bottom has some kind of felted cotton fabric in place with tiny nails...it does show heavier wear. The interior has some staining as well. It is a very old piece & has been well enjoyed!!
