Large Elchinger Ceramic Red Ringed Vase in Vintage & Boho Art Deco Style

This lovely vase is the work of the Elchinger pottery. Its understated, geometric shape is highlighted by the famous, bright, & colorful glazes so characteristic of this ceramic factory. The vase's oblong shape is subtly enhanced by the ringed decorations. The piece is signed intaglio on the underside. A demonstrative piece, it will enhance a midcentury piece of furniture or a beautiful bouquet! The vase is in beautiful condition. Large in size, it has a beautiful sculptural presence. It is signed intaglio on the reverse. 15cm in diameter, 24cm in height. "Céramiques Elchinger" is a family business established in Soufflenheim in Alsace in 1834. Since then, generations have succeeded one another & offered a production as varied as it is avant-garde. Léon Elchinger (1871-1942) will leave his mark with artistic stoneware productions as well as magnificent Art Nouveau & then Art Deco pottery, with magnificent colors & brilliance. Less known than Chambost, Ruelland, Jouve & Capron, Fernand Elchinger (1911-1975) will be one of the great mid-century ceramists.
