Antique Dante & Beatrice bookends by the Pompeian Bronze Company of Brooklyn, New York, dating to the early 20th century. These bronze-clad literary busts are inspired by the iconic figures from Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy & reflect the romantic literary themes popular in decorative arts of the period. Each bookend features a sculpted bust mounted on an ornate classical base. The pieces retain their original aged patina with light surface wear consistent with age.
