The holes are made by the underground waters going through the veins of the stone in nature. After the stones are cut & cleaned by pressure washing the weak parts of the stone (Mostly soil) are gone & we are faced with the beauty of what nature has done to the stones. The time that goes by for a stone to get these kinds of colors & veins is counted by thousands of years. The items seen in the photos are going to be sent. Please avoid using chemicals to clean this item. Washing it in the dishwasher is NOT recommended. A wet cloth or water is recommended to clean this item.
