Vintage -Water Vessel With Lid - Water Pitcher Copper & Brass Etched Details Ritual Ceremonial- Decor

Vintage -water vessel with lid - water pitcher - copper & brass - etched details - ritual - ceremonial- decor This is one of 3 New Orleans estate sale finds. I am unsure of the exact age & the exact origin but they are quite old . I was told that these are used in ceremonial settings but again I do not know the exact details. This piece is beautiful! It looks like it's made from copper but has some areas that are brass colored - I am not certain about the material. It shows its age in all the right places with a heavy patina & General surface wear. There are some areas that have dent looking appearance but this could be from how it was made.It has purposely not been cleaned or polished to preserve the patina. I do not know if it actually holds water. It is beautifully engraved .
