This pair of male & female Io Moths (Automeris Io) are ex-pupae specimens hand raised by a local breeder for use in artwork. You will receive the exact specimen in the picture. They are prepared by insect enthusiasts with over 70 years combined experience in preserving insects. All parts of the frame were installed by us, with exception of the assembly of the molding,which was done by Bridget Hanley's Studios. Frame comes ready to hang with saw-tooth hanger. Common name, scientific name & place of origin are all listed on a tag on back of frame.
