Thick wall glass vase by Swedish glass company Stromberg, aka Strombergshyttan, in desirable arched form with etched image of gazelle, antelope or deer, possibly by designer Gunnar Nyland, 1950s-1960s. Measures 7 1/4" x 5". Signed on base. The glass has a slight blue tint for which the company is known, having developed that subtle coloration early in their production. Stromberg glass began in 1933, being purchased from Lindfors by Edward Stromberg, the former head of Orrefors. The company existed until 1976, when it was purchased by Orrefors. This arched shape & etched design are very Art Deco in style & represent the simple elegance of Stromberg glass & are the most desirable of products by the company. in very good condition, a very tiny flake along the rim of the top, too small to photograph, can be seen with magnification, & felt with fingertip. Minor shelf wear on base. As it is vintage, is sold as is. Please see all photos & email any questions. Note that there is a lot of reflection on the glass, & the bluish tint is not always visible. Shipping via USPS with tracking & insurance. Shipping delays may occur. Gazelle Glass Vase Stromberg Ca 1955, Arched Form With V Shaped Sides
