I love this 60s Galanos empire waist gown. James Galanos (1924 - 2016) started his fashion house, based in Los Angeles in 1951. Galanos is often associated with Nancy Reagan, who was a loyal fan through the years. Galanos known for his couture designs & impeccable construction. This handmade gown is from red wool crepe, high empire waist, boned bodice, silk lining. Pleated at the bust to give some volume to the skirt. Side zipper closure. Good Vintage Condition. Some moth loss to the wool crepe none are actual holes. Price reflects this flaw. Dried Cleaned & Ready to wear.
