This chic black long-sleeve sheer overlay illusion shoulder/yoke silk velvet 1980's vintage bias-cut dress is by LANVIN - Paris. This pretty dress is a classic black dress from the early 80's. It is fully lined in a soft cupro fabric. The dress consists of 2 sections. A sheer chiffon silk illusion shoulder overlay that includes the top of the shoulder, sleeves, to the upper bust. The rest of the dress consists of a velvet rayon fabric. The border where the chiffon silk ends & velvet section begins at the front has assymetric scalloped edges. Round front neckline (the sheer section). Photos 7, 8 & 9 shows the back buttons & the back of the dress. The bodice has boning in the front, sides & back. The skirt section has vertical seaming & the side bottom is cut & sewn at the bias. This means that the left side bottom fans out & has a flirty flip to it when you walk. For this reason I pinned the side so that you can see how that bottom side fans out like a ruffle. Classic black color. Made in FRANCE. Long Slimming princess seams. Size tag says it's a French size 38. I think this size comparable to the American size 2, based on the measurements I took of the dress. Please read the sizing description carefully for the best fit.
