Labeled "Gottlieb Armao - New York", this dress is extremely well made of high-quality ingredients. The dress is a vibrant teal blue-green shade, & the lace matches the silk satin beautifully. The dress is a sheath in cut, with a fitted bodice & straight skirt with some extra room provided by side front deep pleats. There is illusion fabric backing the lace at the neckline & short kimono sleeves. Silk satin bands the waist, crossing in front. There are bows at the sides of the front. Lining the skirt is a slightly stiffening interfacing. There is a long covered metal zipper in back, & hooks & tiny thread bars above the zipper, fastening the illusion. The dress has a very deep hem, & may have been shortened. If so, it probably dates from the 1950sbut it may be the original hem length & date from the early 60s. CONDITION: The dress is in very good condition by my estimation. There are a couple of small marks inside the front bodice (not showing on the outside), a stain that shows on the side back of the skirt, & slight underarms staining in the illusion (on the inside). You can see these issues in the final photos. SIZE: Small, about a US size 4, based on the waist size, by my estimate.
