ITEM DESCRIPTION: This listing is for an antique woman's dress from the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine. The dress is an element of the local folk costume & would have been worn with other garments to create the full ensemble. The chemise is made from natural homespun linen & embroidered by hand on the front, around the collar, on the shoulders, & on the cuffs. The embroidery is very fine & has preserved its color perfectly. There are no noticeable damages, stains holes, or tears to the dress, which dates to the beginning of the 20th century. An authentic element of regional culture & history & a nice addition to your collection. Please keep in mind that a vintage textile or garment in very good condition might still show signs of use, storage & age.
