1940s black cocktail dress is a special find in moire taffeta, absolutely gorgeous in its movement! This late 40s post-war dress has a rather dramatic scoop neckline with 'petals' of taffeta banded in black velvet, brief sleeves, & a nipped waist. The buttons at front are mercurial in silver-to-black ombre effect. The flared skirt really showcases the moire taffeta in a beautiful bias-cut. Velvet ribbon belt at waist.
