Arriving five years after {|Home State|}, the 2018 debut from {|Jordan Davis|}, {|Bluebird Days|} finds the country-pop singer dimming his inherent sunniness slightly. Make no mistake, {|Davis|} still gravitates toward cheerful melodies and unabashed sentiment. There's the obligatory drinking song -- One Beer in Front of the Other, told to a beat so bright it could serve as a soundtrack for Sunday mimosas -- yet there isn't a hint of grit, not even with the earthy advice to Buy Dirt. {|Bluebird Days|} may have a soft, gentle touch, but it benefits from {|Davis|} not sounding nearly as chipper as he did on {|Home State|}. Where he seemed hell-bent presiding over a blowout cookout on that debut, he just relaxes into the afternoon sun here, letting the vibes flow as they may.
