Sunned spine, chipping to silver band along joints (unavoidable unless never opened!) Top stain faded. Darkened endpapers (nearly universally found due to the poor glue used). Top of text block pushed in 1" wide by 0.125" deep, with small tears on the left side of the push down, without loss, on pages 441-450. Lightly toned pages. A few light smudges. Owner signature on FFEP. The facsimile dust jacket is FINE to VERY FINE. Appears brand new. Overall, a SCARCE signed first edition in Very Good collectible condition of one of the most famous gothic novels of all time.
