Between 1990 and 1995, The Folio Society produced a series of finely bound, limited editions of nine of their classic titles, each one signed by the artist. They are all quarter bound in Nigerian Goatskin with gilt lettering, and hand-marbled paper sides. Top edges gilt. The editions are limited to 100 or 150 numbered copies and are now both scarce and collectable. Here we have 'Brideshead Revisited' by Evelyn Waugh. The book is quarter bound in terracotta goatskin leather with hand-marbled sides by Ann Muir. The edition is limited to 100 numbered copies and an unspecified number of lettered copies (maximum of 26) which were given to people associated with the book. This is Letter 'P'. There are 8 full-page colour plates by Leonard Rosoman who has signed the colophon at the rear of the book. The text is printed on Hamilton Wove paper and illustrations on Mohawk Superfine. 276 pages. This gorgeous limited edition is housed in a plain cream slipcase. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Printed and bound in the U.K. The book is in fine condition. The slipcase is near fine with minor shelf wear. HEAVY/OVERSIZE/HIGH VALUE.
