The work includes 19 leaves of floral illustrations by Caroline Maria Applebee (c. 1799-1854), a talented East Anglian artist who was friends with Charles Lamb. Duodecimo, pp. [xvi], 48. With 19 hand-coloured lithograph plates. Original tan moiré diagonal-grain cloth, front cover lettered in gilt, pale blue endpapers, edges gilt. Light bumping and rubbing, cloth and gilt bright, infrequent minor foxing to contents, short closed tear to lower outer margin of title page: a very good copy.
