Description: 32mo (approx. 4.75" x 2.5"). Decorative engraved title page (1676), ruled in red. Text in two column Roman font, the whole ruled in red. Without Apocrypha as issued. Printed New Testament title (1676). Bound with the Whole Book of Psalms (1677). Collation: A-Z^12, Aa-Zz^12; Aaa-Ddd^12. Complete with both titles. Binding: Contemporary dark red calf. Covers with black corner and center onlays and tooled in blind to a panel design featuring various flowers and corner fleurons. Spine with four raised bands and black onlays to two compartments with gilt tooling. Two functioning clasps. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Joints worn, Spine chipped to head, tail, and one lower compartment. Condition: Text is clean and bright throughout. Provenance: "Elizabeth Denton" to front pastedown; "Sarah Brown's Book 1750" to adjacent endpaper; prayer on rear endpaper read "Almighty Lord and merciful father, maker of heaven and earth, of thy free liberty give wisdom to all and faithful assurance we ask it of the; butify by the light of thy heavenly grace ... that I may not only understed these things, may it affectionaly bring me to the knowledge of tee and thou lord jesus my saviour.
