[Espionage thriller] COMPLETE FIRST EDITIONS, first impressions, SIGNED in each volume via a laid-in autograph card. Attractively presented. Three volumes complete, uniform octavos (22 x 14 x 11cm). Publisher's blue and black hardcovers lettered in gilt, purple top stain to first volume, peach-coloured endpapers to first volume, Hong Kong/China map endpapers to second volume (the earliest issue), photographic dust-jackets. All three volumes free from inscriptions, final vol. price clipped, top edge colour to vol. 1 is a little sunned, other edges are clean, jackets all have small nicks and, first jacket sunned to spine. A very good, natural set. The author's masterwork, a thrilling elegy for post-imperial Britain. 'Tinker Tailor.' was the basis for the Oscar-nominated 2011 film starring Gary Oldman.
