1939 limited edition, copy number 37 of 300 copies. Privately printed by Mr. Joseph Robinson. Originally written for inclusion in the book "Unsolved Mysteries of the Arctic", but suppressed by the publisher (The Explorer's Club) due to legal concerns. Hardcover, half bound in red leather over buckram boards. 71 pages of text, which retain the page numbering that would have been used before its publication as a book chapter was suppressed. Signed by both Stefansson and Robinson, with an inscription in Stefansson's hand made out to his friend, Thomas J. Watson. Both Stefansson and Watson were high profile members of the Explorer's Club. Watson was obviously better known for his business achievements as founder and CEO of IBM Corporation. Condition of the book is Very Good Plus. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete and unmarked. In sum, a somewhat uncommon book, enhanced by the association with two major personalities of the 20th Century.
