No. (99) of a 16 volume set limited to 1000. 8vo; 5240 pp. Fine binding in half green morocco, sunned spines, gilt, upper leaves with some wear, marble boards, 81 black & white and color tissue-guarded portraits, illustrations and facsimiles, slight wear at extremities and boards. Very good. Provenance: Ex-Libris bookplate of Harry H. Schwartz (1896-1983) of New York, NY, adhered inside front board of each volume, former president of National Department Stores Corporation. Then passed by family descent to his daughter Laura Theresa (Schwartz) Meier (1956-2017), of Portland, OR, a founder of Meier & Frank Company and former secretary for the Portland Art Museum Board of Trustees.
