SIGNED by Edmond Hoyle and Thomas Osborne on the limitation page, as to distinguish the book from pirated editions. Contemporary brown full speckled calf. Red title label, raised bands, and gilt tooling to spine. All edges speckled red. Moderately toned throughout but free of spotting. Armorial bookplate to pastedown, a few small previous ownership signatures above. Front flyleaf cancelled and front hinge cracked (but board still attached). Excessive wear to spine and mild edgewear to boards. Very good. As the front advertisement states: 'No copies of this book are genuine, but what are signed by Edmond Hoyle and Thomas Osborne.'.
