Imprimit, together with a tipped-in photograph of the artist 'probably by Phyllis Dodd' in a grey card portfolio, pp. 288, folio, original quarter black morocco with sides of orange patterned paper to a Ravilious design, backstrip lettered in silver, the book and portfolio together, along with a 12pp. booklet of 'addenda and corrigenda' and 5 pieces of correspondence from Jeremy Greenwood at the press concerning the publication, and 2 copies of the prospectus, in a grey cloth dropback box lettered in silver, fine. An important work illustrating Ravilious's engravings with reproductions of all of his known engravings, 440 in number, all reproduced to a high standard; the accompanying text includes quotations from the artist's letters and notes.
