Pages are lightly tanned and foxed; more pronounced to text block edges and endpapers. Mild cracking to hinges and occasionally to gutters. Binding throughout remains firm with pages attached. Pen annotations and underlining to pages throughout. Some brown stains to top edge of text block. Text is unaffected. Loss to fore edge of text block, text is unaffected. Pencil markings to front endpaper and half title page from where inscriptions have been rubbed off. Liquid marks to top text block edge which is gilded. Plates are bright and clean. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Water staining with markings overall. Book is bowed and slightly forward leaning.
