First edition, hardcover in quarter leather with paper sides, parchment corners, and top edge gilt, the book has a mild lean to the binding, light bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, rubbing with shallow scrapes and smudges to the sides, a small scuff to the leather at the foot of the front hinge, foxing starting to the end pages, and an area of peeling to the front pastedown with some brief effaced sellers' marks to the front fly leaf.
