Since the death of McCarthy, the trade has been awash in "signed" first trade editions of highly questionable authenticity. This is especially true with books which would have little, if any, collectible value unsigned. The surest way to collect true signed books by McCarthy is with publisher's signed/LTD editions. This is a tight, fine book in a burgundy-colored cloth covered slipcase which has slight sunning around the opening.
