Complete set of Vols. 1-10. Full maroon leather decorated in gold. Gilt edges, silk bookmarkers, moire endpapers. Fine condition with bright, unscratched gilt. The plate of the Broad Winged Buzzard in Vol. VII is creased and has two vertical fold marks; the books otherwise appear unread and unmarked. Vols. I and II are in a box - the others were not issued in boxes. Very similar in style to the Easton Press. A beautiful set! Vol. I is SELECTED BIRDS OF AMERICA and Vol. II is SELECTED QUADRUPEDS. These two wre issued together in a box and did not have volume numbers on the spine. The publisher then decided to publish the remaining Audubon prints in Vols. 3-10 which are numbered and titled AMERICAN WILDLIFE HERITAGE. The volumes all match. There was also an 11th volume which was an index and which was issued in cloth - this volume not included.
