Colour frontispiece, illustrated title page and 23 colour plates on grey textured paper, with captioned tissue-guards, black and white illustrations in the text, all by Kay Nielsen. Original grey half cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, grey paper-covered sides, lettered in red, pictorial endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Bookplate of the art collector Madge Massey Cooper. Binding a little shaken, small spots of wear to extremities, a couple of marks to boards, a few spots of foxing, plates unaffected and bright. A very good copy.
