Widely regarded as one of the masterpiece productions of The Golden Cockerel Press, it was printed between 1928 and 1931 and bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe in quarter brown leather and patterned paper boards. It is illustrated throughout with engravings by Eric Gill. In total 500 copies were printed and this is number 215. There is some light bumping to the corners of the boards in this copy. The leather at the spines has faded a little on two of the volumes (this appears to have been a common problem with this book and many are faded much more unevenly and less attractively than this copy). There is a little light mottling on some of the endpapers but the interiors of all the volumes are bright and clean. The binding is tight and strong and the books present very nicely indeed. Size: Folio. 4-volume set (complete). Illustrator: Eric Gill. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Literature & Literary; Poetry. Inventory No: 78389.
