FIRST ENGLISH EDITION 1712, 4to, approximately 260 x 200 mm, 10½ x 8 inches, 32 engraved plates, 28 double page, 4 folded, 16 small text illustrations, pages: [14], 1-218, [4], Errata misplaced as last leaf instead of in prelims, contemporary panelled calf, rebacked, original gilt lettered label. Covers slighty scuffed, slight loss of leather to lower cover, some shelf wear to edges, ink stain to lower edges encroaching on lower edge of most pages and illustrations leaving a tiny black stain (see attached images), lacks first free endpaper, 2 folding plates have small closed tear to outer margin neatly repaired, no loss to image, 1 plate has a small neat repair to blank side, no loss to image, small neat repair to 1 lower margin, tip of 1 corner neatly repaired, worming repaired to lower margins of the first 4 plates,1 just affecting the image (see image), 2 double page plates have small split to bottom of fold, repair to the outer margin of Errata, last free endpaper creased, tiny worm hole to lower margin affecting first 35 pages, hardly noticeable, 1 plate has a pale brown spot, occasional pale browning and spotting to margins, a few lower margins with small chips, ink name on first pastedown, browning to edges of pastedowns. A good copy.
