Exceptionally rare complete ten volume set of the émigré Christian journal Nadezhda (Hope), published by Possev Verlag in Frankfurt am Main between 1978 and 1986. Compiled and edited by Zoya Krachmalnikova, one of the leading figures of Russian religious samizdat and Christian dissident thought. Each issue includes essays, sermons, theological reflections, and writings by prominent Russian Orthodox authors, including Alexander Men, Irina Ratushinskaya, and Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Published under the auspices of the anti-Soviet émigré press Possev, an organ of the People's Labor Union (NTS). All volumes in yellow printed covers bearing the Chi Rho (Alpha, Omega) symbol. A rare and complete survival of a spiritual and cultural monument of Russian exile publishing. Full set of 10 issues: volumes 1-10. Extremely scarce.
