Troubles by J. G. Farrell (Jonathan Cape 1970). A nice copy of a rare first edition book. Correct first printing. Winner of the "Lost" Booker Prize for books published in 1970. Near Fine book with no flaws. No writing or marks. One of the best copies of this book ever seen. Very Good jacket with very mild rubbing to most edges and a small area of loss to the base of the spine. Not price clipped. Looks nice in its protective cover. The Lost Booker Prize: In 2010 a special award was organised for books published in 1970 as they had not been eligible for the Booker Prize (until 1970 the prize was awarded to books published in the previous year, while from 1971 onwards it was awarded to books published the same year as the award).
