The Moon of Gomrath 14 x 21.5 cm brick cloth with silver stamped titles to the spine, map endpapers, 160pp with unclipped dust jacket, designed by George Adamson and priced at 12s 6d net. Boneland 13.7 x 22 cm grey boards with black titles to the spine, decorative endpapers [viii]149[3] with author's inscription To Arun,/ Alan Garner' on the title page All books are in fine condition, clean and bright with just the author's inscription to the title page. The dust jacket of Boneland is in fine condition whilst that of Weirdstone and The Moon of Gomrath are in much better condition than is usually found. Weirdstone is bright with none of the usual toning or fading to the spine and the titles on the spine are as white as those on the front cover. There is a little rubbing to the edges and spine tips with a little surface abrasion and minor loss to the lower joint at the foot of the spine. There is a 1.5 cm tear extending up from this chip and a 1.5 cm closed tear at the top of the rear panel. The Moon of Gomrath has just a touch of fading to the spine although the titles remain bright. There is a hint of dust staining to the rear panel and a hint of rubbing only to the spine tips and bottom corners. There are closed tears of 1.5 and 0.7 cm on the front panel, the latter with associated creasing. All in all a wonderful signed 1st Edition set of Garner's much loved trilogy, Weirdstone being signed on the date of publication at his local bookshop, Johnstones in Wilmslow, at their launch party - it is likely too that The Moon of Gomrath was similarly signed at their launch party for it.
