Estelle Doheny's copy with her Chester Place, Los Angeles bookplate to front fixed endpaper. Estelle Doheny (1875-1958) was the wife of oil baron Edward L. Doheny. She was an avid book collector whose collection included a Gutenberg Bible. Edition of 300 copies printed by the Grabhorn Press consisting of 265 regular copies and 35 special copies with a leaf opening a book of the bible. This a "Special" copy with leaf containing Chapter 1 of the Epistle of Paul to the Colossians. BCC #275 Covers moderately worn and with faint staining. Text fine and originall leaf quite presentable
