Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1947. xviii, 641 pp. 24 x 16.5 cm. Brown cloth covered boards with gilt lettering in a field of dark brown on spine, top edge stained maroon, in a dustjacket printed in red with white lettering. First printing of the second edition, with no additional printings listeed. Some light nicking and bumping to spine ends of dustjacket, with a 3 cm closed tear to tail of spine of jacket. Two other short (1 cm) closed tears to head of front panel and tail of rear panel of dustjacket. Some rubbing to panels of jacket, which is unclipped and protected in a mylar cover. Very light rubbing to spine ends and corners of boards. Previous owner's name in ink at head of front free endpaper. Some light, shallow dampstaining to fore-edge of rear free endpaper and last few pages, as well as the tail of the rear pastedown. Binding firm. An excellent copy of the second edition of von Neumann and Morgenstern's groundbreaking work on "which modern-day game theory is based" (Princeton University Press). . Hard Cover.
