Bulino su matrice di rame, impresso su carta vergellata priva di filigrana e databile al primo quarto del sec. XVI. Data posta al centro del bordo superiore, monogramma poco visibile, allersquo;angolo inferiore destro. Stato unico, seconda variante su sei (Meder 94 b/f). Rifilata con piccolissimi margini sempre presenti tranne che per 3 cm lungo il bordo inferiore laterale destro, a filo impronta. Esemplare in buono stato di conservazione, tracce di consunzione in lastra lungo il lato destro per 2 cm circa; lievi tracce di piegature visibili al verso. PANOFSKY 204 - Il cavallo, rispetto a quello nella stampa di Santersquo;Eustachio, è migliorato con un occhio al volume, allo sviluppo muscolare e allersquo;impressione generale di forza. Violentemente accorciato a circa metà della sua lunghezza naturale, lersquo;animale riempie lo spazio quasi da margine a margine. Il suo titolo non si basa sulle dimensioni effettive della stampa, ma sulla scala relativa dellersquo;animale. Engraving on laid paper without watermark, datable to the first quarter of 16th century.
