Limited to 250 copies, 1893. Illustrated by George H Boughton, who also wrote the preface to both stories. 53 illustrations. An inscription on the free endpaper reads John Cooper from Sir Francis Crisp. Xmas 1900.We think thee name is Francis and will post a photo of with page. Boughton immigrated to America from England in 1835. An accomplished artist, Boughton's art is still sold in the better auction houses. He also illustrated The Scarlett Letter. The prints in the book for sale are wood etchings full of detail. A magnifying glass is handy to view them. The book is 11x8 with the thin paper etchings attached to the page. The brown boards are sturdy and stained with no dust jacket.
