These books are in good condition. There is some rubbing to the outside boards. The spines from both volumes have been re-laid with small repairs to the top and bottom of both spines. There is a light signature in the front of volume II and no bookplates or markings of any other kind. There is some light foxing. All 6 original black and white illustrations are present. This set is a First edition, First Printing (with no other printings stated on the title page), published by John P Jewett and Company in 1852. A rare find in any condition.
