Quartos 29x22.5 cm., wrappers, 44 pp., (72) plates; 119 pp. Two volumes (all published) released as yearbooks of Estonian art edited by Mart Laarman. Volume I covers the years 1924-1925, Vol. II from 1926. Together these two yearbooks offered the most comprehensive surveys of the Estonian art scene of the early interwar years and strongest period of visual experimentation. It includes architecture, sculpture, painting, folk art, and a hint at the industrial arts, with articles by Laarman, Kangro-Pool, Kompas, Jansen, Kuusik, Kühnert, and reproductions of the leading avant-gardists (Akberg, Magi, Viiralt, Olvi, Aren, Krims, Vahtra) and numerous lesser-known but important Estonian artists of the day. An important document.
