First edition, 10th printing. Despite the "W" on the copyright page, this is not a book club edition since there is no dot/circle present on the lower rear board. The book measures approximately 8.25" x 5.5", with 296 numbered pages. This book is in very good condition. Binding is sound and well preserved. Spine ends and corners are bumped. Moderate staining to the fore edge of the textblock. Interior pages are clean and well preserved. The original dust jacket is in very good minus condition. Moderate chipping and creasing to the spine ends and corners. Original $3.95 price is present on the front flap. "To Kill a Mockingbird" was instantly successful upon publication in 1960. The plot and characters are loosely based on Lee's observations of her family, her neighbors and an event that occurred near her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama in 1936 when she was 10.
