Animal Farm by George Orwell. Second impression, published by Secker & Warburg in August 1945, the same year as the first. Unclipped dustjacket with small tears and chipping to the edges, plus a 2 inch tear to the bottom edge of the front flap at the hinge, plus some areas of loss to the spine and edge. The tears have been very neatly repaired with archival quality repair tape to the inside. The jacket is also a little grubby, now protected by a tidy removable protective wrapper. Original green cloth covers, a few faded areas to the spine corresponding to the loss to the jacket. White lettering to the spine is bright, generally tidy covers. Endpapers with a couple of spots, no inscriptions, pages a little age toned, with some light creasing. Good book, fair jacket. Made from economy war time materials.
