Sydney, Printed by W.C. Penfold & Co. [for May Gibbs, 1932]. Oblong quarto (210 × 305 mm), [24] pages of black and white comic-strip artwork plus text on the covers. Saddle-stapled colour-pictorial card covers lightly rubbed at the extremities, and lightly creased at the rear corners, with a tiny chip to the rear leading edge; front cover with a small bottom corner piece expertly reattached, and three tiny tears sealed; an excellent copy. '24 New Bib & Bub Stories | One hundred & forty four Pictures to Colour | . | We painted these to show the way we do it | Bib Bub' (text on the outside rear cover surrounding a full-colour strip of illustrations). Printed on the inside front cover is 'Bib's Advice' on 'How to put on Paint'; Bub's tips on 'How not to paint' appear on the inside rear cover. Muir 2779 ('6 pictures in comic-strip form on every page, with 2 lines rhyming text to each'; apart from the cover title, the text on the other three surfaces of the covers is not noted).
