7.5' x 5.25", 243pp + six plates as called for, including a portrait of Dr. Andrew Taylor Still and a photo of the Kirksville Hospital and the cottage at which osteopathy was first taught. There are a number of impressions of the blindstamp of Dr. R. McRae Echols (1862-1940) of Bristol, VA-TN. Dr. Echols studied Osteopathy beginning in 1905 and after completing his studies he moved to Winston-Salem and then Bristol, where he practiced until 1936 (Farmville Herald and Farmer-Leader, Volume 50, Number 20, February 23, 1940). This is a good, solid copy with a bit of foxing to the first three leaves; the binding has a couple of ink stains and some edgewear.
